Welcome

VISITING OUR FALCONRY CENTRE

We here at Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre are pleased to welcome you to visit our amazing collection of Birds including the Snowy Owl, Barn Owls, Peregrine and Buzzard. The centre is laid out in such a manner that you can wander around and see all the birds in their aviaries.

The centre is open Tuesdays – Saturdays from 10am – 5pm and then on a Sunday from 10am-4pm. There is no need to book to come and see our birds. We are open throughout the year.

The centre has a number of boards to read and 21 birds of prey on site so a visit can take anywhere from 5 mins to around 30 mins but you are welcome to stay as long as you like and your receipt allows unlimited entrance all day. Please note NO DOGS are allowed in the falconry centre, however Moss End Village allows dogs onto the site.

We are also the very proud winners of the Muddy Stilettos Best Family Attraction award 2024 and hold a Trip Advisors ‘Travellers choice 2024’ award.  We are so grateful to everyone that voted or left a review, thank you so much.

In 2021 Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre relocated to Moss End Garden Village in Bracknell. The Falconry Centre and Gift Shop are now open to the general public to see the birds, for all our experience sessions and birthday parties.

The centre is located within the garden village behind Skinners Sheds. The garden village has lots of parking and toilets on site. Simply park in the main car park and then make your way through the entrance of the garden centre to ourselves.

Bracknell train station is located about 3 miles from our centre with taxis waiting out side. There are buses however they do not run regularly past ourselves.

Moss End Garden Village also has a Refill Shop, Reptile Shop, Aquatic Fish Shop, Antiques, Biltong, Table Games, Pottery Painting and much much more. Definitely a lovely day out.

Don’t forget that we also offer experience sessions if you want to get closer to our team. Having a Barn Owl perched on your fist and a Hawk swoop to your arm is a memory to last forever. Please see our experience page for more details or ask a member of staff on your visit.

IMPORTANT BEFORE VISITING – With the current increasing in Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) we ask all our visitors to think about where they visit before coming to us. If you have visited ponds, lakes, rivers, chicken or poultry farms or simply cleaned out your chickens at home please change your foot wear before coming to our centre. We have foot mats with disinfectant for you to walk over before entering the site. This shouldn’t damage your shoes however is juicy so you may get wet socks if your shoes are open or not water proof. Please know that these requests are to keep our birds safe. If we have 1 case of bird flu our whole feathered family will be euthanised (killed) under government rules.

SHOP FROM OUR AMAZON WISHLIST

Here at Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre we pride ourselves on always putting the Birds first and have always had the ethos that, unless it benefits the birds and their welfare, if we cant afford to do something now we will save and do it when we can. We dont spend money on fancy cars to transport the birds or posh new equipment every year but with the rising costs its the day to day bits, that we use to keep the birds in the lifestyle they are used too, that are now costing us the most. Now accepting money as a business comes with all sorts of red VAT and tax shaped tape so after almost 16 years of people telling us we should do this we finally done it, we have made an Amazon Wish List.

The list contains lots of day to day items such as sponges used to wash the walls, paint and paint brushes. But just to add some balance I have popped on there some more expensive items that we are currently saving for such as the air conditioner for the classroom, a fan for the work shed and walkie talkies that dont pick up every business in the surrounding area!!

We are so grateful for anything you would like to purchase and we will always say thank you though our socials.
