“The absolute best venue for a birthday party. My son loves birds of prey and Sadie captivated all 14 of the kids and us adults too with her knowledge about the birds they handled. It was pure magic and I keep getting positive feedback from all of the parents of the children that were there. I will probably be booking another one for my daughter soon as she was fascinated as well.”   Dawn

“Bought my hubby a voucher for a hawk walk with the lovely Sadie, as has already been said on here her passion for what she does shines through, extremely knowledgeable about her birds, it was the best present I’ve ever got him (married 20 years finally getting it right !) flew Echo the harris hawk who is quite a character, also met the various other birds that Sadie looks after. A wonderful way to spend time & learn some very interesting facts about birds of prey, cannot rate it highly enough.”  Nina

“As part of our OWL Brownie badge we booked an hours visit from the Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre. The lady that came with her birds was extremely good with the girls and also very knowledgeable about the birds she brought. I cannot recommend this centre’s visit enough as it was fun, informative and something the girls will remember as part of their badge hopefully for a long time (they are still talking about it).”  Mary

“Wow, Superb!! Myself & my partner did the half day falconry experience today, absolutely amazing – Sadie is extremely welcoming & knowledgeable – small groups of 6 people make it more personal. We got to fly 6 different birds to the fist & feed them, we took it in turns to walk back holding the birds to change for another, weighed them and hand fed them. Great day out with hot drinks halfway through. Highly recommend!!!! ” Debs

“Brilliant time with the owls!!! I bought the Owl handling experience as a Christmas present, but as they were having a promotion, I decided it would be nice for us both to go. Had a fantastic time, taking some great pictures. This particular experience is aimed at adults, they have a version especially for kids too. You are up close and personal with the Owls, especially when they are perched on your (gloved) hand, and can see them in all their resplendent glory, they really are beautiful birds. Sadie, who runs the centre, was truly enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable about the birds, giving us all the info we could want on each one in turn. She has hand-reared most of them herself from chicks and is basically their “mum”, indeed she refers to them as her “family”. Highly recommended experience, we even got to see them fly between the group members, with Sadie providing the Owl snacks to tempt them from glove to glove. We saw several different Owls during the experience session, Pip the European Little Owl, Ash a lovely Tawny Owl, Bailey the Barn Owl and finally Charlie the Indian Eagle Owl. Bailey and Ash came out and flew with us in the field. There were other Owls in the centre of course, notably Billie Jean the European Eagle Owl, who was in her aviary perched on a nest of eggs! So she wasn’t able to come out. All in all a great time, the only thing to look out for is if you are a bit squeamish, the Owl’s snacks are a little gruesome, this should not be a surprise to you though, after all they are predators!”  Gary

“This is without a doubt one of the BEST and most memorable experiences of my life, absolutely incredible! Echo (the Harris hawk ) is the handsomest bird and is so well behaved. Sadie who took us on the hawk walk is so knowledgeable and her passion and love for the birds is intoxicating. There was plenty of time for flying and is was so good that it was just the two of us with her, much more intimate and far more time to enjoy the experience. The price that she charges is an absolute bargain for the time and experience you get. If I lived closer I would be doing this as much as possible. Thank you for such a fabulous and marvellous experience, hugely recommended, you won’t be disappointed!” Dave
