What a privilege! This week Olivia and Sadie had the amazing opportunity to join Jon, an experienced ringer, ringing the Barn Owls recently recorded in Sadie’s Barn Owl volunteering for the West Berkshire Countryside Society. With 10 babies in just two boxes it was a fabulous evening. After last years disastrous year for breeding barn owls it’s hoped that all these young ones survive their first year and go on to have families of their own.

Amazing photography day today with the wonderful @omsystemcameras.uk , @lce_oxford and @lce_reading. The weather held for most of the day, so many amazing cameras and lenses to play with, all the birds were brilliant (including the 30 mins that Milo decided that he wanted to be at one with the tree!). If you came along today we would love to see your pictures please do tag us and the hosts. Today was OM Systems but we still have Canon, Sony and Fuji Film to come so please do come along and join us for these brilliant sessions.

When the kites are soaring I worry that people forget to spot the Common Buzzard. Such a beautiful bird gracefully circling.
Not sure what a buzzard looks like then do pop into the centre to say hi to our beautiful boy Mouse.

We are open, Tuesday - Saturdays 10am - 5pm and Sundays 10am - 4pm and Bank Holiday Mondays.
Entrance costs are :
Adults - £4
Children - £2
Concessions - £3
No need to book to come and look around and your ticket allows for all day entrance meaning you can head off to visit other places at moss end and then pop back to see your favourite bird.

Hope your all staying cool this bank holiday weekend.

Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre is open this weekend and bank holiday Monday and is home to a beautiful collection of Hawks, Owls and Falcons. With lots of educational information about Birds of Prey the centre is a brilliant place to visit for all ages. Based within Moss End Garden Village, Bracknell, the centre has plenty of parking, a gift shop and cafe’s on site along with lots of other fabulous shops to visit.

We are open, Tuesdays- Saturdays 10am - 5pm and Sundays and bank holiday mondays 10am - 4pm
