One of the most amazing characters you have ever met, from stubbornly refusing to leave his nest box in spring, to humping my arm during school visits (giving me a special hug!!) and attacking phones as he thinks they are rectangular owls when people do a selfie!!!! But we love him lots!!!!

Join us on Sunday the 19th of July for the Moss En

Join us on Sunday the 19th of July for the Moss End Summer Fair from 10am - 4pm.

Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre will be hosting a number of talks and activities throughout the day within our wonderful centre. Your entrance ticket allows for entrance all day so you can pop back for our talks as well as seeking out the wonderful gifts and treats at the independent stalls and shops all within Moss End Garden Village.

Our timetable for talks is….

10.30am Owl Pellet Dissection
11.30am Owls Talk
12.30pm Feather and Egg Talk
1.30pm Meet the Falconers Favourite Bird
2.30pm Meet the Harris Hawk Family
3.30pm Centre Tour with the Falconer

Entrance costs to Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre are :
Adults - £4
Children - £2
Concessions - £3
Children under 4 years - free

There is plenty of parking, cafes and facilities on site within Moss End Garden Village.
(There is no charge for visiting the Moss End Summer fair)

***PLEASE NOTE *** Please do remember before you visit our beautiful centre that Avian Influenza (bird flu) is very serious and could cost the lives of our birds. PLEASE DO NOT WEAR SHOES THAT YOU HAVE WORN NEAR RIVERS, LAKES OR THE SEA SIDE IN THE PREVIOUS 48 HOURS when visiting the centre. Everyone will need to walk over our disinfectant mats before entering the centre so we recommend waterproof shoes and to use the hand gel provided too. We apologies for any inconvenience however the health of our birds is our only concern.

After the winter off Billie Jean our European Eagl

After the winter off Billie Jean our European Eagle Owl comes back into work. At over 30 years old though this process is slowing down a little each year and with the start of cataract we are just taking things at her owl pace. She is such a wonderful lady though and I can’t wait for the hot weather to break a little so we can start her flying to customers again.
