Milo and Rossi have been talking part in our volunteers dissertation study which meant introducing them to a feeding dish rather than a falconry glove. Milo however seemed perplexed by both his own reflection and the fact that food didn’t magically appear!!!!!

Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre is home to a beautiful collection of Hawks, Owls and Falcons. With lots of educational information about Birds of Prey the centre is a brilliant place to visit for all ages. Based within Moss End Garden Village, Bracknell, the centre has plenty of parking, a gift shop and cafe’s on site along with lots of other fabulous shops to visit.

We are open, Monday* - Saturdays 10am - 5pm and Sundays 10am - 4pm
Entrance costs are :
Adults - £4
Children - £2
Concessions - £3

No need to book to come and look around. Your entry ticket allows for entrance all day.

*Monday opening only in the holidays.

Did you know most birds close their eyes by raisin

Did you know most birds close their eyes by raising their lower eyelids up?? Owls are unique in the bird world because they close their eyes like we do, by using their upper eyelid to blink downwards. But to sleep they bring the lower eyelid up wards!

Birds also have a third eyelid called a nictitating membrane which is the eyelid they use most often to blink and to protect their eyes when eating and hunting. That’s what you can see in this video of beautiful Billie Jean our stunning matriarchal European Eagle Owl.

If you want to learn more fun facts like this then book on to one of our owl experiences or half day bird of prey sessions. And for the youngsters we offer an educational owl hour for just £20.
