Stepping away from the birds today to introduce th Stepping away from the birds today to introduce this absolute STUNNER! Meet the Wasp Spider 🕷 Believed to have made their own way here from the Continent they were first seen in the 1920's and we now have one living in our flying field!!! 😃 If you are lucky you might spot one in meadows or grassland in the south of England. I (Olivia) haven't seen one in years so of course I had a lie down on the floor with her for a few minutes to watch her eat her lunch! She is proof that managing the habitats we have here at the centre is creating space for all sorts of animals and plants. In order to look after our birds we have to conserve the habitats and food chains that they rely on 💛 #conservationeducation #falconryexperience #falconrycentre #spider #britishwildlife
Lovely rare customer free morning so decided to ta Lovely rare customer free morning so decided to take our two beautiful Wednesday volunteers out flying the birds as they hadn’t done this is so long. What a lovely treat to spend time like this. You can come along and fly our birds too on one of our amazing hands on sessions including family falconry sessions and half day experience sessions.

Fabulous day today with London Camera Exchange and Fabulous day today with London Camera Exchange and FujiFilm on our ‘try it out’ days where you can come and play with all the cameras and lenses, getting fabulous shots of our beautiful birds. Bonus to the day was the Wasp Spider Olivia found in the field meaning everyone got to take its photo too!!! Plus a new insect to our field. Thank you to everyone that joined us today.
