We have discovered that with his mystical mysterious power Elvis is able to predict the future, (and hear the biscuit tin from a mile away!!) so this World Cup season we are gonna have a bit of fun, this is just a warm up but what do you think? Is he correct????

Could anyone be more handsome? I just wanted to share my love for this not so young man. Bourneville our male kestrel is just about as perfect gentleman as you can get!!

Posing on one of our photography sessions. Yes I made him pose with a flower, he complained that it ruined his killer image!!

Probably the only photo of Bourneville in flight!!!

The grey head and grey tail show you that Bourneville is a male kestrel, females are brown.

Boating in the sunshine

Mum making me pose with flowers again!!!! Did you know kestrels are currently in decline? And worryingly we don’t know why! There are many probably causes including loss of habitat for their prey, loss of nesting sites, poisoning, loss of insects……the list goes on and on.

Kestrels are super easy to identify when in their classic flight of hovering, which is where they get their nickname of windhover.

Love this sunshine and storm! Makes Bourneville look like the magnificent hunter that he is, even if he does only weigh in at 6.7oz!!

Finally can you spot the Tomial tooth on his beak? Used to help break necks of prey, which for kestrels can be small rodents, birds and then insects.

Do pop down to the centre to say high to both Bourneville and Nala our stunning pair of kestrels.

Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre is home to a beautiful collection of Hawks, Owls and Falcons. With lots of educational information about Birds of Prey the centre is a brilliant place to visit for all ages. Based within Moss End Garden Village, Bracknell, the centre has plenty of parking, a gift shop and cafe’s on site along with lots of other fabulous shops to visit.

We are open, TuesdayMonday*- Saturdays 10am - 5pm and Sundays 10am - 4pm

No need to book to come and look around.
