Updated April 2021

It is a very difficult time for the whole of the UK and understandable there are lots of questions and uncertainty. For ourselves we have tried to keep things simple, and hopefully we have covered any questions you may have below, if not then please do not hesitate to get in touch either by email or phone.

Falconry Centre

Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre is very sad to announce that we have now closed our centre at Ladds Garden Village and are currently in the process of rebuilding at Moss End (we are happy about the move to Moss End – you can read all about the drama in our blog). We are currently in the process of applying for our animal activities licence and zoo license before we can open to the general public.

Experiences Sessions

Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre has cancelled all our sessions including the Half Day Sessions, Family Falconry Experience, Owl Handling Sessions, Educational Owl Hours, Junior Falconry Sessions, Photography Sessions and Amateur Photography Sessions until we can reopen at our new site.

Have a voucher but not yet booked your date – all vouchers are being extended free of charge for a further 12 months, so if your vouchers expiry date is December 2021 then you will have until the end of December 2022 in which to take your session. You do not need to contact us for the additional extension we have your voucher details and will make amends in the system. You will however need to contact us in the ways mentioned in your cover letter with your voucher to book your session in the diary. Please note though dates will fill up quickly so don’t leave it until the last minute to get your session in the diary. we are currently waiting to hear from Bracknell Forest Council about our Animals Activity license which will allow us to re start our sessions. Due to covid, inspections are delayed but we are hoping to start putting people in the diary by mid May. Please drop us an email to be put on the ‘contact’ list to receive an email as soon as we get the go ahead from the council.

Refunds for vouchers – we are currently not issuing refunds for Experience Session vouchers as we would still love you to come along on the session. If you however feel that you will not be able to make your session such as travel restrictions then please do get in touch. Please note refunds will only be made at the centres discretion.

Off Site Talks or Therapy Sessions, these include Scout, Brownie, Beavers and Cub talks, Care Home Visits and School Visits.

Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre is happy to start to look to book in dates for when groups are able to meet again. Covid-19 safety measures can be put in place such as face shields and distancing along with hand gel and is happy to work with your own safety measures. Payment is taken on the day for these sessions so if you simply wanted to hold the date for the time being please do get in touch.

If you are unable to meet in person perhaps consider one of our zoom meetings. These are 45 min sessions and can be done to suit all groups. Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss this further.

Sale of Frozen Food

We are pleased to say that we are able to sell the Frozen Food for reptiles and raptors. The actual centre at Ladds Garden Village is closed to the public however we can arrange collection from Ladds Garden Village as we are still currently based there whilst re rebuild our centre at Moss End. Simply drop us a call, text or email and we can arrange a time for you to collect your items. Please do call or text us on 07812171709 to place your order.

How you can help.Hawk Walk

So here at Feathers and Fur Falconry we are very proud of the work that we do and do not like to ask for charity or large donations. We are very grateful for all the donations in our penny pot when people visit the centre but we have been aware of other centres asking for lots of donations in this awful time. We don’t want to do that and we think its unfair to ask that of people who are also in their own financial pickles. So with that in mind if you did want to help us out at all perhaps consider purchasing a gift voucher for either yourself or as a present, all vouchers bought now have a 12 month expiry dates. So there is plenty of time to use them. And it will feel even more special knowing that you have helped us get through this awful time as the beautiful Owls and Hawks swoop to your fist.

If you follow us on social media, don’t just ‘like’ our posts, but perhaps leave us a comment or share our post. This gives us a wider audience and means that more people will know that we are here. Tag us in posts if you are posting memories of coming to the centre or if you spot someone on social media asking for gift ideas, or things to do with the kids we are always grateful of a mention. Word of mouth is our best way to be known.

Inevitable I am sure you may have a question that I haven’t answered, if so please do not hesitate to drop me an email or message, or give us a call and we will be happy to answer any (centre and bird related, we are not so good on 80’s pop music) questions you may have.
